Beulah Winterfest Parade
The Crystal Lake Community Business Association in Beulah/Benzonia is ready for Winterfest 2008. The date is set for February 9 in downtown Beulah. We are looking for entrants for the parade, which starts at 3:00 p.m. There is no entry fee. Cash prizes are awarded for First, Second and Third place. To enter, send your name and contact information to: CLC/BA, P.O. Box 754, Beulah, MI 49617. Parade information and guidelines will be forwarded to you. Plan to be in line for the parade by 2:30.

Other events scheduled for the day are: Pancake breakfast buffet at the Hungry Tummy, snowmobile poker run, softball tournament, horse drawn hayrides, chili cook-off, food both, kids games, frozen turkey bowling, all day bonfire on the beach, frozen fish toss, rubber duck race, fireworks over Crystal Lake in the evening!

Winterfest Chili Cook-Off Contest
The Crystal Lake Community/Business Association is sponsoring the annual Winterfest Chili Cook-off contest during Winterest 2008 in Beulah.

Everyone is invited to enter your favorite chili recipe and compete for cash prizes. There is no entry fee. First place prize is $100, second place is $75, and third prize is $50.00 To enter, you must bring your preheated chili to the pavilion in downtown Beulah on Saturday, February 9 by 10:30 a.m. with your name, address and phone number. You may bring a lesser amount, but three gallons will ensure that you have enough to last during the tasting. Winners will be those receiving the most votes from participating chili tasters. Tickets to taste the chilis are $2.00 each.
